Role Overview: As a Senior IT Support Specialist at Maisha Meds, you will play a key role in providing technical support to our remote workforce and optimizing our IT infrastructure across African markets. You will collaborate closely with the IT Manager and contribute to maintaining a smooth and efficient operation of our internal systems.

Responsibilities:

User Support:

  • Partner with the IT Manager to troubleshoot and resolve user issues, providing efficient solutions for recurring problems.
  • Deliver first-line technical support to internal users via Slack, email, and in-person assistance.
  • Assist in enrolling devices (laptops, tablets) into JumpCloud and Vanta for centralized management.

Internal Systems Management:

  • Document technical solutions, implement IT policies, and manage user accounts and assets within Jumpcloud.
  • Enforce security policies across all devices, ensuring they are up to date to safeguard against vulnerability exploits.
  • Monitor system logs and identify any suspicious activity related to Jumpcloud accounts and devices.

Hardware:

  • Collaborate with the IT Manager to assist in the hardware procurement process across our African markets.
  • Regularly review the performance and quality of our tablets, exploring new solutions to better serve our customers.
  • Support preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems across all markets.

Qualifications:

  • Academic qualifications: Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues in a remote work environment.
  • Communication: Proven ability to communicate effectively with a non-technical audience, explaining technical concepts clearly.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent relationship-building skills, ability to work across all levels of the company.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
