Role Overview: As a Senior IT Support Specialist at Maisha Meds, you will play a key role in providing technical support to our remote workforce and optimizing our IT infrastructure across African markets. You will collaborate closely with the IT Manager and contribute to maintaining a smooth and efficient operation of our internal systems.
Responsibilities:
User Support:
- Partner with the IT Manager to troubleshoot and resolve user issues, providing efficient solutions for recurring problems.
- Deliver first-line technical support to internal users via Slack, email, and in-person assistance.
- Assist in enrolling devices (laptops, tablets) into JumpCloud and Vanta for centralized management.
Internal Systems Management:
- Document technical solutions, implement IT policies, and manage user accounts and assets within Jumpcloud.
- Enforce security policies across all devices, ensuring they are up to date to safeguard against vulnerability exploits.
- Monitor system logs and identify any suspicious activity related to Jumpcloud accounts and devices.
Hardware:
- Collaborate with the IT Manager to assist in the hardware procurement process across our African markets.
- Regularly review the performance and quality of our tablets, exploring new solutions to better serve our customers.
- Support preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems across all markets.
Qualifications:
- Academic qualifications: Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues in a remote work environment.
- Communication: Proven ability to communicate effectively with a non-technical audience, explaining technical concepts clearly.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent relationship-building skills, ability to work across all levels of the company.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
