Job Description:
The Commercial/Business Development Director will report to the Executive Director and play a pivotal role in driving the development and growth of opportunities in Pharmaceutical sales & Distribution and logistics business. The role involves maintaining customer relationships, supporting business goals, and achieving revenue targets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies for business development in pharmaceutical sales & marketing, supply chain, and logistics.
- Identify and track potential opportunities and clients, developing technical proposals.
- Manage client relationships and engagements in the supply chain and logistics sector.
- Negotiate with clients to maximize logistics service performance.
- Support the Business Development team in acquiring new clients.
- Coordinate training and administration of supply chain and logistics teams.
- Focus on optimizing marketing efforts for logistics services.
- Achieve monthly and yearly sales and profit targets.
- Maximize commercial opportunities by building long-term profitable relationships.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Key Competencies:
- 12-15 years of experience in business development or commercial operations in pharmaceutical sales, marketing, supply chain, and logistics, with a focus on procurement & warehousing.
- Bachelor’s degree in international business, procurement & logistics management, supply chain management, or related field.
- Master’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or inventory management.
- Professional qualification such as Certified Logistics & Supply Chain Management Professional (CLSCMP) or Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) is desirable.
