Description:
The Nurse Intern will work at the Allan Galpin Health Center, where they will:
- Assess and plan nursing care for in-patients.
- Take vital observations including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, height, weight, and BMI on a daily basis.
- Alert doctors to any unique concerns or complaints regarding patients.
- Perform nursing procedures such as wound dressing, ear syringing, cannulation, bed making, damp dusting, sterilization, and drug administration.
- Collaborate with the ambulance driver in emergency responses.
- Conduct report writing and documentation.
- Ensure the safety and proper maintenance of clinic equipment.
- Participate in health promotion activities and Continuous Medical Education.
- Perform other official duties as assigned by the Head Nurse or Director of Medical Services.
Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Uganda Christian University or be awaiting graduation.
- Partial transcript from the University.
- O’ level & A’ level certificates.
- Proficiency in ICT and competency in MS Office and PowerPoint.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Responsiveness and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Mature and practicing Christian.
