Job Title:
Procurement and Stores Officer
Reports To:
AGM Production
Job Purpose:
Oversee all procurement of non-RM (Raw Material) materials and store operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Store Operations Management: Manage store operations including receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and transferring items as per company policy.
- Quality and Quantity Assurance: Ensure the safe keeping of materials in terms of quality and quantity, maintaining a clean and well-organized store.
- Record Keeping: Maintain adequate records and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and inventory control.
- Purchase Requisitions: Initiate purchase requisitions to replace stock of regular store items when levels approach the minimum limit.
- Stop Purchase Actions: Initiate actions to stop further purchases when stock levels approach the maximum limit.
- Delivery Inspection: Receive and inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies and report to the supervisor for reimbursements and record keeping.
- Material Issuance: Issue materials in required quantities against authorized requisition notes/material lists.
- Supplier Evaluation: Review and evaluate supplier product designs, processes, and activities for compliance with company manufacturing guidelines, quality processes, and standards.
- Vendor Development: Develop and manage vendor relationships to ensure quality and compliance.
Desired Profile:
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 4-5 years of experience in stores management.
- Skills:
- Hands-on experience in SAP
- Result-oriented
- Strong negotiation skills
- Good communication skills
- Team player
