About Oakwood Interns Program
Oakwood Interns Program was founded in 2015 to bridge the gap between young professionals and employers in Uganda. The mission of the Oakwood Interns’ program is to provide a platform through which educated youths can attain professional skills and relevant work experience in order to competently and confidently enter the formal job market and self-employment.
Our overall goal is to enhance youth employability in Uganda through strategic trainee placements that match the knowledge, skills and passions of our youth members.

Oakwood works in partnership with multiple program employers in Uganda in order to place educated youths into suitable internships, graduate trainee positions and entry level positions within those companies. Oakwood also provides temporary employees to program employers basing on the needs of the employment organisation.
Temporary employment is a working arrangement where the employee is only expected to remain in the position for a certain period of time. These employees fulfil all the functions of regular employees and can help during increases in demand.
