Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Profile:
The Authority is a corporate body with perpetual succession and may sue and be sued in its corporate name and do, enjoy or suffer anything that may be done, enjoyed or suffered by a body corporate. The Authority is the governing body of the Capital City and administers Capital City on behalf of the central government subject to this Act. Any enactment that applies to a district shall, subject to this Act and with the necessary modifications, apply to the Authority
Job Profile:
The land management officer is responsible for the borough’s land inventory and classification program, land disposal program through sale, lease or exchange, and land acquisitions.
Roles and responsibilities:
The incumbent will be responsible to the Supervisor Land Management for performing the following duties:-
- 1. Carrying out research and preparing reports on the various activities in the Land Management Unit in line with the land management guidelines
2. Creating and managing assets inventory in line with the Land Management guidelines.
3. Collecting information on leases between KCCA and third parties in line with the Land Management guidelines and land Management Act.
4. Taking safety measure and recovering the KCCA properties in line with the Kampala Capital City Authority in line with the land management and land Management Act.
5. Providing Sensitization on Laws and guidelines that relate to land management to both the external and internal clients in line with the Kampala Capital City Authority Land Management guidelines.
6. Processing the initiation of Surveys and Valuation of KCCA proper-ties in line with the Kampala Capital City Authority Land Management guidelines.
7. Processing regularizing ownership of property owned by Kampala Capital City Authority in line with Land Management guidelines.
8. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honour’s Bachelor’s Degree in either Law, Real Estate Business Management, Land Management, Forestry, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Land Economics, Botany, Environmental Engineering or Geomatics and Land Management from a recognized University or Institution.
Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of two (2) years of working experience in handling land issues at the Assistant Officer or Officer level in Government or from a reputable organization.
