Agri Exim is the producer of certified-organic, all-natural, non-GMO organic products. We work with over 17,000 farmers across four countries to deliver the highest quality food, fibres and other organic products.
Job Summary:
The Junior Accountant will be tasked with the day-to-day accounting activities of the department run smoothly.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Deal with all bank related matters by making deposits, withdrawals, both cheque and cash in a timely manner to ensure finance related matters run smoothly.
- Arrange for payments of traders for the raw materials delivered at the warehouse after verifying the prices with the country manager and quantities delivered with the warehouse manager.
- Handle all project petty cash by distributing it to the respective departments and ensure that accountability is given before more money is dispersed.
- Make a report on the daily stock received, processed and sold, indicating the values to management so as to keep them updated of all stock-related matters.
- Make daily updates of all information into the tally system, for easy access of all information that may be required, keep accountability and for audit purposes.
- Maintain proper filing of accounting documents and other documents to ensure they are in safe custody and easily accessed by the finance team.
- Make bank reconciliations on a daily basis by checking the bank balance and uncleared cheques to keep track of the cash flow and inform management of the bank position.
- Prepare budgets for field expenses and office supplies.
- Make all the requisitions for funds from the head office.
Qualifications
- The applicant must hold a Degree in accounts or finance related course
- One year of related work experience
- Knowledge of quick books tally is AMUST
- Good communication skills
- Computer skills with knowledge in excel and tally
- Good interpersonal skills
- High level of integrity
- Must be a team player
