Job Title: Plant Maintenance Electrician
Employment Type: Full-time
Deadline: 18th May 2024

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform all maintenance tasks on electrical equipment and systems as per requirements and provide correct feedback on findings.
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning electrical equipment and systems in minimal time.
  • Install and test plant equipment and electrical systems according to approved electrical standards and requirements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for all equipment failures, generate action plans for problem elimination.
  • Monitor operation and condition of electrical equipment and systems, identify and fix defects or report them to the Electrical Supervisor/Officer/Engineer.
  • Operate and maintain electrical power equipment and switch gears such as generators, power changeovers, switch gears, stabilizers, etc.
  • Prepare and plan for assigned job execution, arrange necessary materials/spares, tools, and other resources.
  • Improve electrical equipment and systems through continuous innovation.
  • Optimize usage of spares/materials.
  • Use and care for tools and testing equipment like multi-meters, screwdrivers, etc.
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards in work processes to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Comply with all relevant safety rules and procedures during job execution.
  • Log all jobs and relevant information in the Shift Log Book.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Electrical Supervisor/Officer/Engineer/Manager.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Ordinary Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Three years of experience in Electrical from a manufacturing industrial setup.
  • Excellent knowledge of VFDs, Basic PLCs, Electrical controls, Motors, Motor controls, etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of equipment maintenance and installations.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to use common problem-solving tools like 5WHY.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, manuals, and other electrical drawings.
  • Ability to use test equipment and tools like insulation tester, multimeter, etc., for fault-finding.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent team player and ability to manage time efficiently.
  • Knowledge of Electrical safety.
