Job Title: Human Resource Trainee

Location: Kampala

 

Job responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor the teams to deliver the set performance targets and reviewing the reward systems as approved from time to time.
  • Overall administrator of Service level standards/contract between client & QSL thus ensure such contractual standards in terms of turnaround time, quantity and quality are enforced from time to time.
  • Managing risks to life, property & working environment through compliance with Occupational and Environmental Health & Safety standards in all operations and process flows.
  • Handle all HR & Administration requirements due to both the casual & contractual staff such as;
  • Managing their welfare like meals, transport, airtime and data where applicable.
  • Medical insurance and site clinic for occupational injuries.
  • Scheduling for leave and adherence to the leave plan without causing compromise to the service expectations.
  • Ensure all payment issues are addressed and pay slips are issued for accountability.
  • Manage attendances and time management and ensure such staff perform as expected
  • Ensure timely remittances of statutory like NSSF and PAYE
  • Generate staff payrolls and ensure timely staff payment
  • Manage all workplace conflicts and grievances within time and escalate where appropriate.
  • Manage staff exit from the organization from time to time.
  • Reporting, escalating incidents and ensure preventive approaches by way of observations and proactiveness
  • Ensure safe storage of employee records and viral organizational documents.
  • Develop and submit monthly reports to the Project Manager as may be required.

 

Minimum qualifications:

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource, Organizational Psychology or a related field.
  • 6 months to 1 year experience in Human Resource
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent skills in MS Office
