Job Title: Stores Assistant
Organization: VisionFund Uganda (VFU)
Location: Kampala
Job responsibilities:
- To organize the stores and ascertain that the layout and design is appropriate for easy identification and retrieval of items from the stores as and when the need arises and that items are safe and protected from harmful/unfavorable conditions.
- To maintain and update the records pertaining received and issued items and update the stock cards.
- To collaborate with the Administration and Procurement Officer to organize and conduct annual Inventory counts (assets verification) at all VFU branches.
- To plan and supervise the engraving/tagging/labeling of organization assets in a sequential and logical manner in reference to the branch and period.
- To support the Administration and Procurement Officer to update the Assets Register and identify the items clearly indicating the status of the items (in use, due for disposal among others).
- To prepare and submit complete, accurate, and timely monthly stock report.
- To prepare for any duty the supervisor assigns and when the need arises.
Minimum qualifications:
- A diploma in Procurement and Logistics,
- A bachelor’s degree in the same field is an added advantage.
- Possession of strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
