Job Title: M & E Assistant

Role and Responsibilities
- Participate in reviewing data collection and management systems, designing / developing and testing relevant tools, online reporting systems and databases for storage of collected data.
- Ensure proper use and understanding of data collection tools, data entry and storage by field staff and volunteer instructors involved in data collection.
- Support and participate in any short-term evaluations, accountability and learning activities.
- Prepare weekly/monthly schedules of M&E activities.
- Keep track of project performance and progress using the indicator tracking matrix.
- Guide field teams on how data flows and ensure data tools are available for the staff.
- Conduct field spot checks and visits to validate and verify the accuracy.
- Support the project staff in reviewing monthly and quarterly reports with a bias to data accuracy and ensure timely submission of high-quality reports
- Identify capacity training gaps among the field staff and propose/ design interventions.
- Mentor field staff and volunteers involved in the collection of primary data on the proper use of tools and offer other required assistance when the need arises.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Social Science or any relevant discipline.
- At least 2 years of working experience in a similar position with a local or international NGO
- Competency in Word, Microsoft Office packages, Kobo Collect, Power BI.
- Good report writing and communication skills.
- Be a team player and have the ability to multitask and work independently.
- Knowledge of Swahili, Arabic or Dinka language is desirable.
