Position Overview:
The Metrologist & Calibration Engineer will ensure the accuracy and reliability of measurement instruments and equipment used in Kamit operations. This role involves conducting calibrations, performing metrology-related tasks, and maintaining compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform calibrations of measurement instruments and equipment according to established procedures and standards.
  • Develop and maintain calibration schedules to ensure timely calibration of all instruments and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with measurement systems, recommending corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of calibration activities, including documentation of results, certificates, and calibration reports.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to address calibration-related requirements and support ongoing operations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and regulatory changes in metrology and calibration practices.
  • Ensure compliance with quality management system requirements, including ISO 17025 standards.
  • Participate in internal and external audits related to metrology and calibration processes.
  • Provide technical support and training to staff members on metrology and calibration procedures.
  • Assist in the selection and procurement of new measurement instruments and equipment, considering performance, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Metrology, Physics, or related field.
  • Proven experience in metrology, calibration, and precision measurement techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of metrology principles, calibration standards, and measurement uncertainties.
  • Hands-on experience with calibration equipment and software.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems, ISO 17025 accreditation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across departments.
  • Certification from relevant organizations (e.g., ASQ, NCSLI) is preferred.
