Shared Action Africa is dedicated to improving access to modern family planning methods for men and women of reproductive age in Nakivale Refugee Settlement and host communities in Isingiro District, Uganda. Our project targets refugee populations and collaborates with various agencies and organizations to provide comprehensive services.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and implementing monitoring and evaluation activities across all projects in the refugee settlements, ensuring high-quality data collection and reporting.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop strong M&E systems, including planning, indicator development, and proposal support.
- Oversee day-to-day monitoring activities, including data collection, training, and quality assessments.
- Analyze data and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead or support special studies and evaluations as required.
- Manage knowledge management processes within the organization.
- Represent the organization in coordination meetings and other activities.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Degree-level education with post-graduate qualifications in Monitoring and Evaluation.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning.
- Experience developing M&E systems and tools for projects and programs.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex information effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and IT skills.
- Excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
- Commitment to SAA’s approach and values.
