Job Summary: The Procurement Executive will play a vital role in cost-saving, improving product quality, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring timely supply for the business. The ideal candidate should be dedicated, goal-oriented, and possess extensive technical skills to support company goals effectively.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and submission of local purchase orders.
  • Ensuring receipt of order confirmations from raw material suppliers.
  • Follow-up on materials against pending local purchase orders.
  • Tracking and reviewing sea and air shipments on a weekly basis.
  • Generating savings in raw material purchases and preparing monthly saving reports.
  • Coordinating with government procurement bodies.
  • Handling special purchases including imports and local raw materials.
  • Ensuring pre-export verification of conformity and compliance.
  • Arranging procurement of samples for client approval.
  • Procurement of promotional items and fabrics.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in procurement & supply management.
  • Three to four years of experience in a busy environment, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
  • Fluent in English (spoken & written).
  • Preferably Ugandan national (women are encouraged to apply).
  • Above 30 years of age.

Key Skills:

  • Experience and knowledge of procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong sourcing skills.
  • Working knowledge of accounting software like ERP/SAP.
  • Ethical conduct and good relationships with suppliers.
  • Contract management skills.

Remuneration: Negotiable
