Roles & Responsibilities:
The Operations Manager plays a crucial role in leading the Procurement Team and supporting the Administrative Deployment of RTV Uganda operations. Key responsibilities include overseeing daily activities, providing strategic direction for procurement and administrative functions, identifying improvement areas, and ensuring organizational effectiveness.
Sourcing, Procurement, and Inventory Management:
- Tactical planning and execution of work within the sourcing and procurement function
- Development and implementation of procurement policies
- Management of RTV assets and inventory
Administrative Deployment and Facilities Management:
- Resource deployment to support program operations
- Management of fleet, drivers, and transportation logistics
- Field office budget management and operations improvement initiatives
Integrated Technology:
- Ownership of Uganda technology map
- Implementation of improvement initiatives and team training on technology use
- Technology inventory and data management
Team and Capacity Building:
- 1-on-1 mentorship and skills development planning for Operations staff
- Team skill training and development
- Succession planning in all Operation units
Requirements and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, finance, or relevant field
- MBA and/or professional qualification like CIPS; ACCA, CIMA & CISA preferred
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, including 3 years of management experience
- Experience in accounting/financial management, human resource management, and procurement
- Excellent written/verbal English communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
- Result-oriented and adaptable to change
