Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants to fill the vacant post of Hub Assistant Manager for the Presidential Initiative for Skilling the Youth at the Zonal Industrial Hubs under the State House. Industrial Hubs are located in the following sub-regions:
– Acholi – Gulu
– Ankole – Bunyoro-Masindi
– Mbarara
– Bugisu – Mbale
– Busoga – Jinja
– Bukeddi – Kibuku
– Kigezi – Kabale
– Karamoja – Napak
– Lango – Lira
– Madi – Adjumani
– Greater Masaka – Masaka
– Mubende – Mubende
– Mmengo – Kayunga
– Rwenzori – Ntoroko
– Rwenzori – Kasese
– Sebei – Kween
– Teso – Soroti
– Tooro – Kyenjojo
– West Nile – Zombo
Responsibilities:
– Assist the Hub Manager in overseeing the operations of the Zonal Industrial Hub.
– Coordinate training programs for youth skilling initiatives.
– Manage the day-to-day activities of the Industrial Hub.
– Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of youth skilling programs.
– Supervise staff and ensure smooth functioning of the Hub.
– Monitor and evaluate the progress of youth training programs.
– Prepare reports and documentation as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Development Studies, or a related field.
– At least 3 years of experience in project management or related field.
– Strong organizational and leadership skills.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
– Knowledge of industrial development and youth skilling programs is an added advantage.
– Must be willing to travel within the assigned sub-region.
