About UNICEF Leading Minds Fellowship:
At UNICEF, we recognize the pivotal role of young leaders in driving climate action. The UNICEF Leading Minds Fellowship is a prestigious program designed to empower passionate young leaders to become agents of change in the fight against climate change. We are searching for enthusiastic young individuals aged 15-25 to join our core team of Leading Minds Fellows on Climate (LMFC).

Program Objective:
Our goal is to empower young leaders to significantly influence the future direction of UNICEF’s work on climate action while shaping their own trajectories. Through the fellowship, participants will drive the agenda of UNICEF’s Leading Minds conference 2024 focused on Climate Breakthroughs, a platform for global thought leadership co-created and co-driven by young people.
Responsibilities:
- Navigate global challenges and propose innovative solutions.
- Advocate for children’s rights and climate action.
- Engage with mentors, experts, and peers from diverse backgrounds.
- Gain professional experience in a multicultural setting.
- Build a global network of peers and professionals.
Creative Submission:
Applicants are encouraged to submit creative content showcasing their vision of a greener future. This could be in the form of a short story, video, poem, song, visual art, or any other expressive medium of choice.
Duration:
The fellowship will run for 6 months starting February 2024 via online platforms. Fellows must commit to dedicating between 5-10 hours per week on average. Selected fellows may be required to travel to Florence, Italy, in May-June 2024 (TBC).
Language Requirement:
Fellows must have proficiency in English to collaborate with UNICEF and fellow participants at the global level.
Stipend:
Selected fellows will receive a stipend for their work during the fellowship period.
