Job Summary: The Data Enumerator will support with the data collection of a baseline assessment in Imvepi/Rhino Settlement.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in the training in data collection methodologies and tools.
  2. Carry out pretesting of tools and gather feedback.
  3. Visit households to conduct interviews.
  4. Take notes/transcribe interviews conducted and prepare summaries from Focus Group Discussions and Key Informant interviews.
  5. Collect and update relevant data that meets the intended purpose and quality using recommended data collection tools/methods and platforms.
  6. Ensure compliance with organizational performance standards, code of conduct, and safeguarding policy.
  7. Fill in and submit timesheets to the supervisor detailing the level of effort per day worked.
  8. Adhere to confidentiality procedures and policies when collecting, storing, and sharing data.
  9. Safeguard gadgets provided, including but not limited to tablets.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned and agreed upon with your supervisor.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Hold at least a diploma or higher diploma in fields such as statistics, social sciences, business administration, or any other relevant field.
  • Experience in the use of mobile data collection apps, MS Excel, and MS Word applications (indicate experience with mobile/online data collection tools if applicable).
  • Experience in data or records management is an added advantage.
  • Previous experience working with NGOs in a humanitarian setting, especially in data collection, is advantageous.
  • Previous experience using an audio recorder, Comcare, or similar tools is beneficial.
  • Ability to speak Juba Arabic, Bari, Kakwa, Alur, Lugbara, or any other language spoken in refugee settlements is desirable.
  • Ability to remain productive under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members from diverse backgrounds.
  • Flexibility and readiness to work additional hours as required.
  • Strong computer skills, primarily in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Time management skills.
