Job Title: Fresher Procurement and Logistics Assistant
Duty Station: Moyo, Uganda
Reports to: Procurement and Logistics Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of procurement procedures and policies.
- Support in the preparation of procurement plans and schedules.
- Coordinate the receipt and verification of goods, services, and works.
- Assist in the evaluation of suppliers and vendors.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of procurement documents.
- Assist in the management of inventory and stock control.
- Coordinate logistics and transportation arrangements.
- Support in the preparation of procurement reports and documentation.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Procurement and Logistics Officer.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- The ideal candidate should hold a Diploma in Procurement and Logistics Management or related field.
- Previous experience in procurement and logistics will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and procedures.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in computer applications such as MS Office suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
