Job Summary:

7Hills International School is seeking enthusiastic and experienced teachers for positions starting in August 2024.

Positions Available:

  1. STEM Teacher (full-time)
  2. Spanish Teacher (part-time)
  3. History Teacher (full-time)
  4. English Language and Literature Teacher (full-time)
  5. Sports Teacher (part-time)
  6. Music Teacher (part-time)

Additional Opportunities:

  • Possibility to combine any teaching position with an academic coordinator leadership role.
  • Option to combine part-time roles into a full-time teaching position.
  • Candidates with the ability to teach across disciplines will be preferred.

7Hills International School is in its sixth year and follows the innovative IMYC Curriculum for Years 7 to 9, IGCSEs for Years 10 to 11, and A-levels for Years 12 to 13. We are looking for teachers who will actively engage in all aspects of school life, inspiring students to reach their full potential by fostering curiosity and a love for learning. Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop schemes of work and lesson plans according to the curriculum guidelines (IMYC, IGCSE, A-level).
  • Facilitate learning by establishing positive relationships with students and organizing learning resources and the classroom environment.
  • Foster the development of appropriate skills and social abilities in students.
  • Assess and record student progress.
  • Connect students’ knowledge to previous learning and develop ways to encourage further learning.
  • Fulfill all duties and expectations outside the classroom as per the Staff Handbook.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject from a recognized institution.
  • Recognized teaching qualification (preferably a degree or postgraduate qualification).
  • Two or more years of teaching experience at an appropriate level.
  • Experience in an international school with IBDP, IGCSE, and/or A-level programs is an added advantage.
  • Evidence of successful previous teaching experience.
  • Knowledge of child development, curriculum development, effective instructional strategies, learning assessment, and research related to learning.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written, and active listening skills.
  • Proficiency in using technology for word processing, data management, and communications.
