Purpose of the Job:

As a Community Facilitator for Early Childhood Development, you will play a vital role in managing the daily operations of the Play Hub and coordinating early child activities within the community. Your responsibilities will include providing advice on child development, facilitating parents and caregivers on early stimulation activities, conducting home visits, and ensuring the safety and well-being of children in the center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with beneficiary households
  • Provide advice on child development and play
  • Assess needs and identify at-risk situations
  • Link caregivers and households to professional services
  • Administer borrowing and returning of toys
  • Conduct home visits on play and development
  • Manage the Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) play hubs
  • Conduct awareness campaigns for parents
  • Set up parent support groups
  • Provide basic literacy to children
  • Identify and promote unique talents in children
  • Encourage creativity through arts, music, and more
  • Ensure the safety of children during play
  • Prepare and submit reports on the play hub’s progress
  • Identify and address health and child abuse cases

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Certificate in Early Childhood Development Education or equivalent
  • Must be a resident of and living within the community

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in similar roles and responsibilities

  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficiency in English
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to learn and train others
  • Managerial and leadership skills
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft and Excel applications
  • Confidence in facilitating and providing training
  • Knowledge of the local language is an advantage

Working Conditions:

  • Work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week
