UCDA is currently seeking a motivated and competent individual to fill the position of Executive Personal Assistant in their Board Secretary’s Office.

Job Title: Executive Personal Assistant
Directorate: Board Secretary’s Office
Duty Station: Kampala
Reports To: Board Secretary / Director Legal Services

Job Purpose: To manage and oversee the activities of the Office of the Board Secretary, act as the primary point of contact for both internal and external clients/customers on all matters pertaining to the Office, and assist in communicating with them.

Key Result Areas:

  1. Serve as the primary point of initial contact on any matter directed to the Office of the Board Secretary, research, prioritize, and determine appropriate course of action, referral, and/or response.
  2. Receive, screen, evaluate, and determine appropriate response to all written correspondence received by the office.
  3. Assist in gathering, investigating, researching, analyzing, and/or studying information required by stakeholders.
  4. Coordinate budget allocations for the office, review budgets, and oversee day-to-day activities.
  5. Provide assistance in understanding UCDA policies and procedures, ensure compliance, and coordinate special events.
  6. Carry out any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Secretarial Studies, Human Resources, or relevant field.
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience.

Expected Personal Competences and Skills:

  • Excellent business communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and office management systems.
  • Record keeping, planning, and organizing skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
