Equator Seeds Limited is one of the leading full-line seed companies in Uganda that became operational with the purpose of providing quality seeds to smallholder farmers who produce over 90% of agricultural output. The company’s business is to transfer seed technologies developed through public or private research into the hands of farmers.
Equator Seeds Limited is legally registered and was incorporated in 2011. The company disseminates quality and genuine seeds including related inputs and services to farmers in the Greater North (Acholi, Lango, Karamoja, Teso, West Nile regions and Bunyoro regions), Eastern and Western Uganda, Kampala, Southern Sudan and other regions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Work with Marketing/ other sales personnel and prequalified customers to meet company’s sales target
- Work with and provide technical support to local communities to promote adoption of EQUATOR Seeds products through demo establishment and farmer field days
- Expand company’s clientele through promoting our brand identity, recruiting more agro input traders, cooperatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- The ideal Candidate must have basic understanding of the functioning of seed agri-business, crop production and animal production in line with climate smart farming techniques.
- Must be passionate about sales generation, Must maintain professional networks and keep abreast of developments in agricultural science, result oriented person, keen problem solver who is focused on efficiency and takes hands on approach.
- Must be able to ride motorcycle
- Must be conversant with local language(s) of the regions
- Computer literate
