Roles and responsibilities:
- Observe and implements company HSE programs in the depot.
- Perform and supervise first-level maintenance equipment as per the preventive maintenance schedule.
- Follow up the preventive and corrective maintenance of all equipment in the depot
- Ensure efficient deployment of operatives.
- Ensure that all trucks are effectively assessed using the safe to load tool.
- Ensure good quality fuel is delivered to customers.
- Participate in the follow-up of truck defects with transport team.
- Conduct monthly fire drills with the depot team and generate reports
- Ensure that calibration charts and dipsticks for all trucks entering the depot are valid.
- Ensure that the working portable metrological equipment are always in good working condition.
- Supervise the tank dipping daily and participate in the physical stock determination.
- Supervise the truck offloading and loading.
- Ensure that all loaded trucks leaving the depot are sealed at the dipping hatches, manholes and discharge valves.
- Ensure that fuel samples are collected from the depot storage tanks and from all trucks delivering product to the depot. Samples must be presented to the laboratory for testing.
- Participate in the depot opening and closing protocol.
- Any other duties relating to the role as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
- A strong and broad-based technical background
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Experience in Depot Management
- Good Inter-personal and communication skills
- Good knowledge of petroleum industry operations.
- Flexible, quick to adapt and Self motivated
- Management and supervisory ability.
- Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
- Excellent computer skills (Ms. Excel, Ms Word)
