Job Title: Statistician

Organization: National Environment Management Authority (NEMA)

Location: Kampala

 

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Section Work Plans, Budgets and timely reporting.
  • Collect data, analysis and dissemination of statistics
  • Develop and implement statistics collection, analysis and reporting plans and strategies
  • Plan, budget and report in liaison with other departments
  • Prepare statutory and other reports on emerging national, regional macroeconomic issues to inform policy actions
  • Contribute to research and policy development.
  • Perform any other official duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • An Honors Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from a recognized University
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills
  • Financial and human resource management skills
  • Excellent report-writing skills
  • Risk management skills
  • Command of excellent Information Communication Technology skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Time management
  • High moral integrity
