Job Title: Finance Intern

Organization: Dream Heart Foundation

Job Location: Masaka

 

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records including income, expenses and budgets.
  • Support DHEF’s budgeting and financial planning processes.
  • Actively advocate for and participate in fundraising efforts (including organising and helping in fundraising activities such as sponsored or promotional events and house-to-house and street collections).
  • Assist in processing financial transactions (including payments, reimbursements, and donations).
  • Help ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • work closely with the Secretary to track and manage donor contributions.
  • Help with grant applications.
  • Contribute to financial analysis to inform decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Assist in other finance-related tasks and projects as assigned.

 

Minimum qualifications:

  • Studying or has an interest in finance, accounting, economics or a related field.
  • Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Google applications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to DHEF’s mission with a passion for fundraising and advocacy.
