Background: The Government of the Republic of Uganda, with support from the International Development Association of the World Bank, is implementing the Competitiveness and Enterprise Development Project – Land Component (CEDP AF – LC) under the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development. As part of this initiative, the Ministry seeks to recruit qualified Ugandan citizens for various positions to contribute to the project’s success.

Position Overview: The Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development is inviting applications for the position of Data Entry Clerk. This role will be responsible for receiving, verifying, and entering survey, mapping, physical planning, land administration, and registration documents into the system according to established standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive survey, mapping, physical planning, land administration, and registration documents and verify their quality for intake and scanning.
  • Review compliance of documents for intake and scanning according to established standards and guidelines.
  • Prepare and scan documents and data accurately and efficiently.
  • Complete and commit transactions for delivery.
  • Document and record poor-quality documents and forward them to the Supervisor.
  • Provide technical support to the team.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Section.

Qualifications:

  • Ugandan citizen with an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in any related field from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of working experience in relevant data entry.
  • Familiarity with data entry procedures and standards.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and data management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and meet deadlines.
