JOB DESCRIPTION

Overall purpose of the job: To support the Agriculture section in its activities while on training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in various agricultural projects and initiatives under the guidance of the Agriculture Manager.
  • Participate in fieldwork, including crop production, mechanization, and other relevant agricultural activities.
  • Collaborate with team members to conduct research, gather data, and analyze findings related to crop production and agricultural practices.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of agricultural plans and strategies.
  • Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and proposals for departmental heads, management, and stakeholders.
  • Engage in regular communication with employees, management, and stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of agricultural equipment and facilities as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Agriculture Manager.

Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Crop Production, Agriculture Mechanization, or its Equivalent from a recognized Institution.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are essential for interactions with colleagues, management, and stakeholders.
  • MS Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for creating engaging materials, reports, presentations, and proposals.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to gather and interpret raw information and data, document findings, and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Must be helpful, calm, and professional, particularly during times of uncertainty.
  • People Skills: Ability to earn the trust and respect of departmental heads and management.
