About the Graduate Trainee Program: The Graduate Trainee Program aims to prepare and orient Ugandan graduates for effective employment by developing their skills, knowledge, and attitudes. The program, spanning 11 months, offers training opportunities in Monitoring and Evaluation, Finance, and Operations Departments.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

M&E Graduate Interns:

  1. Participate in the design and implementation of project monitoring tools as per the project M&E plan.
  2. Support data collection initiatives of the project and ensure the use of appropriate tools for collection, compilation, and reporting.
  3. Monitor the implementation of project activities on a routine basis and report progress towards targets.
  4. Assist in organizing capacity building initiatives at the project level.
  5. Participate in monthly project review meetings and share key findings from field visits with the project team.
  6. Engage proactively in the project’s research, evaluation, and learning initiatives, including reviewing and validating reports and leading reflection and dissemination processes.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Quantitative Economics, Economics and Statistics, Actuarial Science, Commerce, Business Administration (Accounting), Science in Accounting, Finance and Accounting, Project Management, Social Work and Social Administration, Development Studies, Community Psychology, Public Health, Demography & Reproductive Health, or related field.
  • Second-Class upper degree from a recognized University or institution.
  • Graduated between the years 2020 and 2024 with a transcript available.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills.
  • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a Team Setting.
  • Openness to learning and a positive attitude.
  • Excellent writing skills.
