JOB DETAILS:
Kaabong District Service Commission is seeking applications from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the position of Road Inspector on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect roads within Kaabong District to ensure compliance with construction standards and specifications.
- Monitor road construction and maintenance projects to ensure adherence to approved plans and budgets.
- Identify defects and deficiencies in road infrastructure and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Conduct surveys and assessments to evaluate road conditions and identify areas for improvement.
- Liaise with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to address road-related issues and concerns.
- Prepare reports documenting findings, observations, and recommendations for road improvement projects.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in road construction, inspection, or maintenance.
- Knowledge of road construction standards, specifications, and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license.
