Job Summary:
The Senior Finance Officer will help coordinate and contribute to the implementation of the CP’s projects/grants policies and procedures in compliance with CRS’ established accounting standards, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), donors’ rules and regulations, and legal requirements to support high-quality programs serving the poor and vulnerable.

Roles and Key Responsibilities:

  • Set and monitor sound accounting and financial reporting procedures for projects/grants subrecipients and partners.
  • Review and validate supporting documentation before processing financial transactions.
  • Record financial transactions and advise on corrective actions when necessary.
  • Assess, evaluate, and monitor subrecipient financial management processes and strengthen their capacity.
  • Prepare various periodic and ad hoc financial reports and perform variance analysis.
  • Provide information and training to projects/grants staff, subrecipients, and partners on financial accounting policies.
  • Perform assigned treasury projects/grants duties, ensuring segregation of duties.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of two-three years’ experience in a position with similar responsibilities, preferably with an international or local NGO.
  • Proficient in MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Good oral and written skills in English.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% to field offices.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to detect and report inconsistencies.
  • Ethical conduct and proactive, resourceful, and results-oriented.
  • Proficient in MS Office packages and financial reporting software.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and meet strict deadlines.
