Job Description:
Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda (CCBU), a subsidiary of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa, is hiring an Engineering Stores Clerk at its Namanve Plant in Kampala. The Engineering Stores Clerk will report directly to the Engineering Stores Controller and will be responsible for ensuring real-time and accurate stores operational data input and basic reporting of maintenance works at the Stores.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage stock losses by implementing appropriate inventory management controls.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the planning/asset care team to develop and maintain an inventory management system.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed.
- Provide administrative support including accurate data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
- Assist in identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives related to inventory management.
- Engage with suppliers through the procurement department.
- Ensure relevant reporting is done as per schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
Skills, Experience & Education:
Qualifications:
- Minimum requirement: Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering / Diploma in Inventory and Logistics management.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years in a Food Processing Plant.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in an engineering or technical environment.
