About KCCA:

Kampala Capital City Authority is the legal entity established by the Ugandan Parliament, responsible for the operations of the capital city of Kampala in Uganda. It replaced the Kampala City Council.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

The incumbent will be responsible for performing the following duties:

  • Performing routine assignments on Automobile and Mechanical works, testing, and commissioning.
  • Implementing work processes, procedures, standards, and specifications databases to adopt a Quality Management System.
  • Executing electrical-related works while ensuring timely deliverables, cost tolerances, and quality of workmanship.
  • Maintaining and updating the maintenance database by monitoring equipment failure to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Troubleshooting all mechanical works/tools for proper functionality.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Ordinary Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
  • Possession of a Certificate in Automobile Management or related fields will be an added advantage.
  • Applicants should have a minimum of two (2) years relevant working experience in a mechanical works reputable organization.
  • Age: 20 years and above.

  • Print an Extract of PS Form 3 (2008) and obtain a recommendation from the Responsible Officers. Scan the recommendation together with the rest of the documents and submit online.
  • Where the designated recommending Officer/Responsible Officer is reluctant or declines to provide a recommendation, the applicant should clearly indicate the reason(s) on the extract of PSC Form 3 (2008) and submit it online without the recommendation.
  • Falsification of documents will lead to automatic disqualification.
