Join the International Organization for Migration (IOM) as a Senior Project Assistant focusing on Ethical Recruitment, Employment, and Skills within the Labour Mobility and Inclusion (LMI) programme. This role presents an opportunity to contribute to the promotion of humane and orderly migration practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the National Programme Officer (NPO) in the implementation of the project “Promoting Ethical Recruitment in the Hotel and Tourism Industry Sector.”
  • Coordinate communication and follow-up with the IRIS Secretariat Team at IOM HQ and the LMI unit in the IOM Country Office.
  • Share information between IRIS Secretariat, LMI Unit, IRIS stakeholders, and other relevant parties.
  • Assist in implementing project activities related to ethical recruitment, stakeholder engagement, advocacy, and event planning.
  • Draft and submit project reports in coordination with the NPO, M&E, and finance teams.
  • Engage with employers, employer associations, civil society actors, and government counterparts through meetings and consultations.
  • Organize IRIS training workshops and assist in the rollout strategy.
  • Maintain records of engagements with stakeholders, including recruitment agencies, employers, CSOs, and government bodies.
  • Support initiatives and activities related to skills development and youth employment.
  • Coordinate closely with the Resource Management Unit (RMU) for project-related finance and procurement.
  • Maintain professional relationships with stakeholders and internal units for effective coordination.
  • Coach and guide junior colleagues and interns.
  • Undertake duty travel as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • University degree in Social/Political Sciences, International Relations, Business Administration, or related field with 4 years of relevant experience. OR
  • Higher Secondary School diploma in the mentioned fields with 6 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in coordination with governmental authorities, local communities, and national institutions.
  • Familiarity with UN and non-UN humanitarian actors.
  • Project management, logistics, administrative, and financial management experience is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the UN Common System and field experience is a distinct advantage.
  • Understanding of the Labour Migration and Social Inclusion portfolio.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and information management skills.
  • Fluency in English (oral and written) is required.

  • Experience in planning, organizing, and facilitating meetings and training sessions.
  • Detailed knowledge of project management, financial management, and human resources.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure with minimum supervision.
