PEAS Uganda Profile:

In Africa, there are simply not enough affordable, quality secondary schools, especially in rural areas. PEAS uses the funding to build schools in areas where, each year, hundreds of children complete primary school but have no secondary school available to them. We are PEAS. We are an international education not-for-profit with the mission to ‘expand access to sustainably delivered, quality secondary education across Africa’.
We build and run high quality not-for-profit secondary schools in close partnership with government in communities where there is urgent unmet demand for secondary education. In 2008, we built and opened our first school in Uganda and now we run a school network of 28 schools in Uganda and 4 in Zambia.

Job Profile:

PEAS has achieved great things in the last 10 years, and we know we can achieve even more in the next 10 years. So as we move into the next chapter, we’re looking for an Administrative Assistant to join us on this exciting and challenging journey as we work to make the vision a reality.

PEAS Uganda Jobs: As an Administrative Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for all external stakeholder enquiries whether face to face, post, phone or e-mail. You will provide excellent customer service, ensuring that their enquiries are dealt with professionally and effectively. This is an important role, providing both support to others and ensuring the smooth running of the Uganda office.

You will be managing the reception and providing administrative assistance to CST so to be successful in this role, you must be organised, adaptable and have a desire to learn. This would be a great opportunity for an energetic individual looking to develop their professional skills whilst working in a fast-paced INGO.

Experience & Qualifications: Essential

  • Secondary education

  • Experience in support service function and secretarial or reception duties

  • Basic computer skills in using Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Can speak and write fairly good English.

  • Driving skills with a lean and valid driving permit.

  • Ability to approach work with energy, and a positive constructive attitude

  • Willingness to learn

  • Ability to use office equipment like photocopiers and scanners.
