Rushere co operative Savings and Credit Society Ltd is a SACCO that was originally called Rushere Co-operative Savings and Credit Development Association but later changed to its present name in 2004. It was formed as a company limited by share capital owned by shareholders originating from Nyabushozi County with the aim of providing financial services to the rural active poor people in Rushere community and surrounding areas of Kiruhura District.
Job Profile
Credit Officer responsibilities include preparing loan applications, evaluating clients’ financial information and calculating risk ratios.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Member selection and recruitment.
- Marketing and client sensitization.
- Review loan applications, appraise loans and make recommendations for approval to the Loans Committee.
- Monitor performance of loans in their portfolio.
- Maintains and updates client loan files.
- Growing the number of loan clients.
- Maintaining a loan portfolio quality in line with Rushere SACCO’s set targets, policies and procedures.
- Abide by the SACCO policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requirements
- Minimum of Diploma in Accounting, Marketing, Social Administration, Social Sciences, UDBS, Economics, Rural Development.
- Ready to spend 80% of their time doing field work.
- Should be aged 22years and above.
- Knowledge of agriculture lending is an added advantage.
