Job Profile:
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating machinery within production environment at Jolems Investments Limited to produce quality products according to work orders and customer requirements and ensuring safety and quality standards. The role requires one (at any one moment) to operate any of the line process machines as per the manufacturer’s stated operating procedures to produce a product that meets stated quality requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Carrying out Periodic and preventive Maintenance works on all Department machinery with the help of a Plant Maintenance Mechanic.
- Responsible for Troubleshooting and problem solving to ensure full time smooth running of department machinery to ensure Low downtime and high Efficiency.
- Reporting to the plant maintenance Mechanic of any issues that may be detected within the machines before repairs are done.
- Responsible for filling Production Monitoring Forms of machine as per instructions of the plant Maintenance Mechanic in the department.
- Participate in the implementation of effective maintenance procedures which includes efficiency of machines.
- Perform any other tasks as per management request
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Ordinary Diploma or a Certificate in mechanical, industrial, electrical or instrumentation engineering discipline.
- A minimum of 1-2 years in an FMCG environment.
- Should have worked on shift system 24hr [rotational] with Engineering skills (mechanical /electrical/ instrumentation)
Required Skills:
- Work place safety, Machine operation, Engineering, Safety systems.
- Should possess continuous improvement skills, Time management, Team player, Positive attitude, Self-driven with minimal supervision and Keen to detail.
