Roofings Profile:
Roofings Group, often referred to simply as Roofings, is the largest manufacturer of steel construction materials in Uganda with installed production capacity of 72,000 metric tonnes annually.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Handle responsibilities of welcoming visitors by greeting them over the telephone or in person
- Responsible for answering inquiries and directing visitors to appropriate locations or personnel
- Ensuring that the reception area is clean and well arranged.
- Perform tasks of maintaining telecommunication systems.
- Prepare letters and documents.
- Receive and sort mails and packages.
- Ascertain the scheduled times and calendar dates.
- Coordinate meetings and organize catering and room bookings
- Handle responsibilities of maintaining customer records by regularly updating account information.
- Identify and resolve product or service problems by clarifying customer complaints
- Handle administrative and clerical work including couriers and filling forms
- Maintain proper track record of incoming and outgoing calls and submit the same to the concerned person
- Any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Social Sciences, Library and Information, Mass communication, Office Management, Secretarial Studies or other relevant degree from a recognized University or “A” Level with a Diploma in Front Office Management, or a related field.
- At least 2-3 years of experience and substantive knowledge as a receptionist or front desk in a reputable development-oriented institution/organization involving management and administration of cross-functional activities.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office or a similar set of computer application packages will be required.
- Well-organized with excellent multi-tasking abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Industrious and self-driven
- Experience from a steel and construction company is an added advantage.
