Job Summary:
To assume ownership and management of on-air service quality and problems where they relate to EPG data on the Channel, generate, update and maintain high quality and relevant programming and editorial information in advance on synergy; and develop a strategy of building the channel on digital, new media and social media platforms; Create content and drive engagement/ interaction using the platforms in order to raise awareness of the channel to the public and sharing feedback to the relevant stakeholders in order to help with strategic planning.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Generate, update and maintain high quality, accurate and relevant programming and editorial information in advance across allocated channels.
- Update and maintain accurate series linking across allocated channels.
- Source and edit relevant program information into required format.
- Manage relationships with channels.
- Assume ownership and management of on-air service quality problems where they relate to EPG data on allocated channels.
- Give weekly reports on data, statistics and provide insight and direction.
- Advise on suitable social media direction for various programs and channels
- Drive business and marketing strategy through media and social media platforms.
- Manage social media platforms for relevant channels
- Social media management at all events and promotions
- Work closely and establish good relationships with both internal and external digital media, and other social media players in the region.
- Distribution and provision of monthly highlights, daily schedules and program information on social media platforms.
- Support the marketing campaigns on various station promotions/ projects.
- On-going monitoring of all media
- Attend to complaints and queries from viewers and stakeholders in a timely manner
- Generate external newsletters, social media and customer engagement activities
- Ensure the accurate and timely compilation and publication of monthly reports
- Edit TV highlights for a variety of channels and genres with a focus on East African content, publish via the content Management System according to an agreed upon highlights plan.
- Write entertainment news stories and the must-watch programming that your friends and family can’t stop talking about.
- Contribute original news articles every week around the must-watch programming that your friends and family can’t stop talking about.
- General entertainment stories with a focus on what’s happening on your turf, of interest to an East African audience.
- Publish news via the Content Management System according to an agreed upon highlights plan.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree/diploma in journalism or communications
- 2-3 years’ experience in a related field.
- TV industry knowledge would be an advantage
- Computer literacy -Windows, MS Office packages
- Basic knowledge in graphic design will be an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge in marketing will be an added advantage.
- Must be fluent in Luganda
