Job Summary:

Perform International Roaming Test (for GPRS, Pre and Post-paid services) according to GSMA specification.

 

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Loads the Roaming data on the switches and tests the signaling functionality
• Perform functional routine/adhoc Roaming &Interconnect tests/duties as may be assigned from time to time.
• Interconnect Routes set-up, Signaling/Switching/Billing testing.
• Ownership & Follow up for resolution on all BSU logged incidents – affecting Roaming and Interconnect services
• Updates and maintains the interconnect databases and the roaming information on the GSMA
• Continuously monitors interconnect traffic performance indicators to ensure high quality of services and implementing of corrective action.
• Continuously monitors Roaming traffic performance indicators to ensure high quality of services and implementing of corrective action.
• Informs all relevant stake holders faults and complaints regarding roaming and interconnect
• Proper documentation and reports
• Roaming and interconnect liaison with the projects office and participation in Core Network projects.
• Roaming VAS solutions management
• 1st level Fraud monitoring, risk and audit management and implementing preventive measures
• Liaison with external Carriers, vendors and Roaming partners.
• Earth Station resource planning.
• Troubleshooting network failures pertaining Roaming and Interconnect
• Any other tasks that will be assigned from time to time by the Supervisor.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

• BSc. in Telecommunications or Electrical or Electronics Engineering
• At least 3 years of experience in similar field
• Knowledge of Roaming & Interconnect services
• 3 years of experience in Telecoms Industry
• Knowledge of Telecommunications & IT industry; GSM 2G/GPRS/UMTS/UTRAN/LTE
• Data Networks & IP Troubleshooting Skills
• Understanding of protocols & SS7 over TDM/IP
• Knowledge of Earth Station planning.
• Good knowledge of Telecommunications
• Knowledge of Roaming and Interconnect
• Excellent organizational skills
• In depth understanding of technology and Roaming and Interconnect services
• Implementation skills
• Internal policies and procedures
• Business Process knowledge
