Job Summary:
Our client, a leading steel manufacturer in East Africa is looking to hire an Accountant with the relevant experience from a manufacturing company to be based in Uganda. He/She will be responsible for monitoring project costs, expenses and budget. The successful candidate Must have over 3 years working as an accountant in the manufacturing sector.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Monitoring project cost as per budget and prepare weekly MIS for the same.
- Proper allocation of expenses related to specific project.
- Timely booking of Invoices in system.
- Tracking & reporting of project status in weekly time frame (MIS).
- Preparing payment vouchers related to projects after thoroughly verifying Purchase orders / Service orders.
- Collaborating with other departments to understand the nature of expenses.
- Maintaining all the project records in proper manner.
- Review purchase order / Contracts to ensure that they have complied will all the necessary requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Must be a CPAK holder.
- Must have knowledge of SAP and Excel.
- Must have over 3 years working as an accountant in the manufacturing sector.
- Must have an Impeccable integrity and diligence.
- Should have high attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Should be organized, accurate and detail oriented.
