Job Title: Quality Assurance Officer
Organization: Uganda Technology And Management University
Duty station: Kampala
Key responsibilities:
- Develop or review the quality assurance framework, plans, tools, and strategies.
- Advise on and monitor quality assurance requirements for teaching, learning, research, and community outreach programs;
- Provide technical and professional support to the various academic and administrative units.
- Plan, implement and continually improve the quality management systems.
- Coordinate the conduct of quality management system audits and conformity assessments by External Advisors, Assessors and auditing, certification, accreditation or pre-qualification bodies.
- Communicate quality management targets, shortfalls, remedial measures, and improved processes and procedures;
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Educational Administration and Management; Management Science; Information Systems; or business
- Demonstrated experience in the Quality Assurance role
- Working knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, etc.)
- Computer literate, with the ability to use a range of Microsoft software packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
- Experience of working with Higher Institutions of learning
- Experience in E-learning
- Training in monitoring and evaluation
- Age bracket: 25-40 years
