Job Title: Clearing Clerk – Kampala (Fresher Jobs)

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor batching bill of entry for submission to customs.
- Maintain internal collection and distribution of cheques.
- Reconciliation of deferred payment statements.
- Monitor the tracking of containers.
- Monitor tracking of customs entries and releases.
- Ensure compliance with the requirements of the quality management system.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the declaration officer.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Diploma in Clearing and Forwarding, Procurement and supply chain management, Business Administration, or any related discipline. Bachelor’s Degree is an added advantage.
- Two years of relevant experience in a similar busy environment.
- Ability to work independently in carrying out assignments to completion.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional personal presentation.
- Customer service orientation.
- Ability to adhere to prescribed routines and practices and compose effective and accurate correspondence.
- Proficiency in dealing with non-routine matters, such as special projects, with minimum specific instructions.
- Decision-making skills are required.
