Job Summary: The Relationship Officer will play a pivotal role in gathering information, performing data entry, and analyzing risk factors to assess the cost and benefit ratio associated with insuring prospective clients. Additionally, the role involves supporting the underwriting process for claims by maintaining accurate records and modifying existing policies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure operational excellence by managing client expectations and service requirements efficiently.
  • Timely follow-up on policy renewals, maintenance, and servicing.
  • Coordinate quotation requests in collaboration with the Actuarial Department.
  • Manage scheme renewals and invitations, including preparation of renewal reports/documentation.
  • Monthly production of debits and credits, policy maintenance, and monitoring additions and deletions.
  • Act as an account manager for assigned clients, including marketing and product presentation.
  • Prepare various underwriting reports, such as quarterly claims analysis reports, and calculate loss ratios per client for performance evaluation.
  • Quarterly production of member statements and accurate setup of scheme limits and premium rates.
  • Handle coverage enquiries with brokers, members, claims team, and service providers.
  • Timely preparation of quotations in accordance with set service standards.
  • Handle queries from walk-in clients, brokers, agents, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely feedback.
  • Conduct client and broker visits, compile tender documentation, and review individual insured utilization.
  • Maintain membership database and prepare policy documents and endorsements.
  • Support during audit periods and perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science or any Business-Related Field.
  • Certificate in Insurance is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
  • One year of experience in Insurance is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and excellent negotiation skills.
  • Positive attitude, team player, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Regulatory and market awareness, customer focus, ownership, commitment, and willingness to learn.
