Position: Quality Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Quality Supervisor is responsible for setting up and maintaining quality standards and facilitating ISO 22000 standards for Grain and Fertilizer operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct the Quality team to enforce Good Manufacturing Practices and Quality Procedures to meet Grainpulse product quality standards.
  • Review Production Batch Records and other manufacturing-related documents to verify compliance and record-keeping for all mandated manufacturing processes, quality checks, testing, sampling, and sanitation activities.
  • Perform audit quality control of raw materials, packaging components, labels, and finished products to ensure compliance with established specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Follow up with implemented programs (GMPs, Good Hygiene Practices, HACCP, Allergen Control, Sanitation, Pest Control, Equipment Calibration, UNBS and ISO 2200:2018 Certification, as well as customer requirements) to ensure compliance.
  • Test samples from finished products, raw materials, and packaging components accurately and interpret results.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective measures to prevent occurrences (including non-compliance and customer complaints) through collaboration with other departments.
  • Make proactive recommendations and present solutions to improve FSMS.
  • Adhere strictly to policies, operating procedures, quality systems, and programs involving testing, evaluation, inspection, and technical support to meet product quality standards.
  • Lead all regulatory, third-party, and customer audits, inspections, and corrective action responses.
  • Communicate performance goals clearly to the Quality team.

Qualifications, Skills, and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in quality management in a busy food industry, preferably grain handling and milling.
  • Strong record-keeping and documentation skills.
  • Ability to interpret chemical, microbiological, and physical results and carry out data analysis.
  • Experience in interacting with third parties on training and compliance matters.
  • Leadership, good planning, communication, and decision-making skills.
