Job Summary:
Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda, a subsidiary of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA), is seeking to recruit a SHEQ Manager. Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager, the SHEQ Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing SHEQ systems, managing product and package quality, ensuring compliance with regulations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a SHEQ system implementation plan in collaboration with the Business System Coordinator.
- Build and maintain relationships with government sectors and stay updated with new regulations.
- Manage product and package quality by facilitating investigations of deviations and implementing corrective actions.
- Coordinate and ensure the review of plant risk assessments.
- Ensure effective consumer response programs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure all SHEQ issues are considered in capital expenditure projects.
- Conduct SHEQ training and induction for all stakeholders at all levels.
- Formulate and manage the annual department budget.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Skills, Experience & Education:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Industrial Chemistry, Environmental Management, or related field.
Experience: - Three years of leadership experience in a SHEQ role in the FMCG industry, preferably in a bottling plant.
Additional Skills: - Knowledge of Quality Management System, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and ISO will be an added advantage.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and decision-making ability.
- Ability to drive achievement of functional team objectives against strategy.
