Sales Representative – Multiple Locations Employment Type: Full-time

Locations: Mengo, Kyengera, Nateete, Zana, Entebbe

Start Date: As soon as possible (March to April 2024)

About the Role: As a Sales Representative for one of the upcoming Lapaire Optical Centers, you will play a pivotal role in developing and promoting sales. Your responsibilities will include meeting potential customers in person, handling customer calls, and working closely with Optometrists at the Optical Center. Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for increasing awareness about clear sight, assisting customers in choosing frames and lenses, and converting customer interest into successful sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Reach out to potential customers in the field and at the branch.
    • Increase awareness about clear sight among potential customers.
    • Participate in fieldwork activities such as distributing flyers and collecting leads.
    • Explain the benefits of wearing eyeglasses based on your knowledge.
    • Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses.
  2. Follow up with potential customers over the phone.
    • Answer questions related to pricing, payment, and delivery.
    • Enter contact details of acquired leads into the database.
    • Present clear pricing and installment plan options.
    • Collect deposits and close sales in a timely manner.
  3. Ensure smooth delivery to customers.
    • Keep customers informed about the status of their order and delivery.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Commerce, Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in a business/retail setting.
  • Customer service-oriented with a strong understanding of basic sales techniques and telephone etiquette.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting and analysis software such as Excel.
