TotalEnergies is seeking Geoscientist Graduate Trainees to join our team in Uganda! This is an exciting opportunity for fresh university graduates with a bachelor’s degree not exceeding two years after graduation. If you have a background in petroleum geosciences, geology, or geophysics, and a passion for the oil and gas industry, we want to hear from you!
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in petroleum geosciences, geology, or geophysics.
- Maximum 2 years of post-graduation experience in the petroleum industry.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the Social Performance department in stakeholder management and corporate social responsibility activities.
Context and Environment:
TotalEnergies EP Uganda presents a unique opportunity with the Tilenga field project, located in a remote area near Lake Albert, Uganda. The project involves working with heavy and waxy oils produced from 31 drilling pads, including some located within a national park. A Production Center with a capacity of 200,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd) and 650,000 barrels per day (bld) of water treatment is central to the operations. Reservoir pressure maintenance is managed through water injection or polymer water injection based on reservoir characteristics. Additionally, the project includes an extensive interconnecting network with temperature preservation.
