The Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC) Limited, a subsidiary of the Uganda National Oil Company, was established under the Petroleum (Exploration, Development, and Production) Act and the Petroleum (Refining, Conversion, Transmission, and Midstream storage) Act of 2013. Incorporated under the Companies’ Act of 2012, UNOC is a limited liability company wholly owned by the Government of Uganda. The primary function of UNOC is to manage the State’s commercial interests in the Oil and Gas industry, ensuring sustainable exploitation of the resource.
