We are on the lookout for a passionate and driven People & Culture (P&C) Intern who is eager to learn and contribute to our dynamic Human Resources team. Internship Overview: The P&C Intern will gain hands-on experience in human resources management, focusing on the maintenance and updating of employee records, ensuring both accuracy and confidentiality. This role offers a unique chance to understand standardized filing management systems, enhance interpersonal and communication skills, and gain exposure to Human Capital Management (HCM) systems.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Updating and maintaining precise employee records.
- Supporting the P&C team in various assigned activities.
- Participating in P&C meetings and contributing insights.
Key Deliverables:
- Accurately updated employee files, including information on new hires, terminations, and other status changes.
- Organized files that comply with legal requirements and Mercy Corps policies.
- Completion of assigned tasks and monthly activity reports.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency in computer-based tools/software.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Professional conduct under pressure.
- Effective teamwork abilities and a good sense of humor.
- Innovative and results-oriented, with keen attention to detail.
